House System

JVM Vishnupuram follows an active and well-organized House System that encourages teamwork, discipline, leadership, healthy competition, and a spirit of unity among students. Every student in the school is assigned to a House, creating a sense of belonging and participation in various academic, cultural, literary, and sports activities conducted throughout the year.

The school has four Houses, each named after great national leaders and freedom fighters who inspire students with their ideals, patriotism, courage, and dedication towards the nation. The four Houses are:
Bhagat House (Blue)
Nehru House (Green)
Subhash House (Red)
Tagore House (Yellow)

Inter-house competitions and activities are regularly organized to develop confidence, teamwork, communication skills, leadership qualities, and sportsmanship among students. These activities include debates, quizzes, cultural programmes, sports events, art competitions, literary activities, and other co-curricular events.

Apart from the regular school uniform, each House has its own distinct House Uniform, which students wear during house activities, competitions, special events, and sports programmes. The House System plays an important role in nurturing discipline, cooperation, responsibility, and school spirit while helping students discover and develop their individual talents.

The House System thrives on healthy competition and participation. It promotes teamwork and collaboration, helping students develop interpersonal skills and a sense of community. A well-planned calendar of house activities ensures that every student gets a platform to showcase their talents and develop confidence beyond academics. By participating in inter-house competitions, students learn to handle both victory and defeat gracefully. Also to support one another and celebrate each other's successes.

Many Inter House competitions are organized under this set up to encourage a sense of healthy competition amongst the students. Dedicated Time is allocated to such house activities. Each house is allocated a duration in the academic calendar, for which it is supposed to conduct the special assemblies along with other activities & competitions. This practice tends to provide an equal platform to all the students in order to nurture and showcase their inherit talents. Hundred percent student participation is ensured by organizing a plethora of inter house activities in order to celebrate various festivals within the school. The conception of the whole idea was envisioned to achieve unity of participation and uniform growth amongst all the students.
